Koo In-Hwoi,founder of what is today known as LG,earlier established the first ever Korean company that made its way in the plastics industry in the year 1947.As the business grew,the company set up Goldstar Co. Ltd. in the year 1958, which is now known as LG Electronics.
LG Electronics dates back to 1958 when it was initially established as Goldstar,a company that produced radios,TV,refrigerators,air conditioners and washing machines.It was later amalgamated with another Korean company called Lucky and named LG.Before the name was changed to LG,all the household products produced in the company were sold under the brand name Lucky and the electronics products were sold under the brand name Goldstar.LG succeeded in buying its domain name LG.com and made itself among the few companies that own their letter's brand name.The tagline of the company “Life's Good” is a bacronym including the initials of the two companies so merged to form LG.
