The Indian mobile handset market is one of the fastest growing markets. Every now and then, many new entrants can be seen in this market. The latest in this category is Akai, the famous Japanese consumer electronics brand. The company is stepping into the telecom business in India by launching ten handsets today only. As per the sources, this Japanese consumer electronics brand Akai is going to introduce ten brand new mobile handsets in India. All these new handsets will be having the price tag of about Rs 5,000. Pranay Dhabhai, Akai India managing director was quoted saying that this year, they target to do a turnover of Rs 435 crore (Rs 4.35 billion). In the last six months, they have been working on developing their distribution channels and after sales service.
