Asus FonePad, revealed in the Mobile World Congress two months back, is going to hit the Indian market soon. Asus will be holding the launch event of its 7-inch tablet FonePad on April 24th in India. The name of the tablet implies that it can be used for calling. This tablet from Asus is the first to hold an Intel processor, Atom Z2420 CPU, which clocks at the speed of 1.2GHz and is mounted on Intel Lexington chipset. Apart from this, the portable gadget works on latest Android 4.1 Jelly bean operating system and supports voice calling and 3G connectivity too.
Asus, in a short span of time, is coming up with its new launch in India!! Yes, you heard it right and this time it’s a Fonepad costing just Rs. 15000. It would be the first cellular based Android tablet by Asus, which is built on Intel’s Z2420 chipset. It is sure that this device would be a great contestant in the Indian market, which would be hitting India by this month itself, as claimed by reports from the trusted sources.
About a week ago, ASUS Nexus 7 officially landed on the Google Play Store India at the price of Rs. 15,999. This Nexus 7 was the Wi-Fi only version with 16GB of storage option. The earlier plan of Asus has just came into action with the launch of two versions of the same tablet; one is 32GB Wi-Fi only version whereas the other is 32GB 3G enabled version. Both these tablets have equal storage capacity and are priced at INR 18,999 and INR 21,999, respectively.
Asus officially unveiled two of its products, FonePad and PadFone Infinity at Barcelona’s event. The company has tried to enter in budget tablet segment with the launch of FonePad that is priced at $249 (Rs. 16,105) whereas PadFone is a high-end full HD smartphone, gaining a price tag of Euro 999 (Rs. 71,391). FonePad will hit the US markets in March and Europe in April while PadFone is expected to land Europe by the month of April. However, there is no word about the launch and pricing of both the gadgets in India, but they will enter the global market soon.
After announcing couple of Windows-8 tablets and a 7-inch Memo Pad, ASUS is now planning to launch 10-inch version of Memo Pad, known as Memo Pad 10 ME301T. Notably, the droid was rumoured to get announced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2013, but then the company decided to make it official at some later time. Though some of the specifications were leaked just before the technology event show, now almost all the technical features for MeMO Pad 10 are out, in addition to an unboxing Youtube video.
After announcing a couple of Windows-8 tablets at Consumer Electronic Show, the Taiwanese maker, Asus is now ready with a new Android tablet, called MeMO Pad ME172V. The MeMO Pad ME172V flaunts 7-inch screen with 1024 x 600p resolution display and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, offering full support for Google Play. It is powered by 1GHz via WM8950 CPU, which is based on the single-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor, clocks at the speed of 1GHz and comes coupled with a Mali-400 Graphical processor.
Asus has announced that that the company will be ready to release their new Eee Pad Memo 370T in India by May 2012 for just Rs. 15,000. Earlier Asus had planned to sell their Asus Transformers Prime tablets in India for Rs. 50,000; off late Asus must have drawn conclusion that this decision of selling Transformer Prime tablet might not be so fruitful mainly because of the pricing factor. For this reason, Asus has planned another tablet variant Eee Pad Memo 370T for Indian market by restricting its price to just Rs. 15,000, and company is expecting that this tablet would fetch good results for the company. According to top Asus officials with release of Eee Pad Memo 370T in May 2012, they are looking at the brighter side, mainly because of its affordable pricing factor.
Asus officially released its new tablets at MWC 2012. Asus Transformer Pad Infinity 700, which first made its appearance at CES as TF700T, is officially revealed by Asus at Mobile World Congress at Barcelona, Spain. Asus has also revealed its another tablet, Asus Transformer Pad 300, which costs less when compared to Asus Transformer Pad Infinity 700. Asus Transformer Pad Infinity 700 will be available in two versions. The first version will be available with the features like Wi-Fi and has 1.6 Ghz Tegra 3. The second version will have LTE and it will come with 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 krait. Asus Transformer Pad Infinity 700 will be available from second quarter of this year.
Asus is all set to release update for Transformer Prime, with a build version 9.4.2.13. Transformer Prime is an upgraded version of Asus EEE Pad Transformer Prime. Transformer Prime has NVIDIA Tegra 3 mobile processor fitted into it with Quad core CPU. Transformer Prime has 8 megapixels camera on the rear side of the tablet and 1.2 megapixels camera on front end.
