Few days back, there were rumors in the air that Intel is planning to launch its Intel-powered Android smartphone in India at an affordable price. Confirming the rumors, last week only the Managing Director of Intel for South Asia, Debjani Ghosh, enunciated that the company is working with its Indian OEMs to propel their Android based Intel processor powered smartphone in India for a reasonable amount of Rs. 7,000 only. Though the MD of Intel hasn't confirmed any date for its launch but most probably this handset might touch the grounds in Q1 2013 which will also experience some other major launches and announcements that are expected in the CES 2013. Already known to everyone that the India-based partner for Intel's first Intel Medfield power smartphone is Lava, which is named Lava XOLO X900. The company has codenamed their new Android smartphone as Intel Lexington, which is supposed to head first Kenya. The device seems to have a reference design, on noticing its looks, which increases the chances of its launching with other company's branding.
