On the edge of launch of the Nokia Lumia 928, Nokia has announced another Lumia 925 smartphone. The new smartphone holds a 4.5-inch AMOLED WXGA display screen with a resolution of 1280x768 pixels. The screen of the phone is designed with the 2.25 D sculpted Gorilla 2 Glass to protect it from scratches. The new phone works efficiently with a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor and Windows Phone 8 operating system.
Nokia has officially unveiled the first member of the most popular Asha series, Nokia Asha 501, which will run on the new operating system, rather than the obsolete S40 platform. As reported earlier, the handset is a refurnished version of previous Asha series phones, which sports trendy colors, high-quality build and a more interactive user interface. This newest Asha member shares the design from the low-end Lumia smartphones.
It’s buzzing all over the technology arena that Nokia is ready to present its popular budget-friendly league of Asha handsets with a new punch. Reportedly, on 9th May, Nokia will host a global press event in New Delhi, where the company may announce Asha 501 handset along with few other devices. However, the press invites don't specify the subject of launch but as the invites were sent by Asha’s team members, so it can be assumed safely that these apparent devices would belong to Asha series. Stephen Elop, CEO commented on reframing the Asha series with a new design language and user interface by saying, “We have to make sure the product portfolio is as competitive as possible. We are due for a significant refresh.”
The newly publicized Nokia Lumia 520, which is the cheapest Windows Phone 8 smartphone, has been made available with Indian retailers from today onwards at a price tag of Rs, 10,499. Nokia is escalating in India via two of its most popular smartphone series – Lumia Smartphones and Asha candybar lineup. The company officially launched Lumia 520 last month, which after a week of the launch went up for pre-orders on the official site of Nokia. This newest addition to Lumia family was announced alongside Lumia 720, which is a high-end smartphone, whereas Lumia 520 is targeted over mid-end consumer base.
Nokia, the another name of trustworthiness, has unveiled Nokia Asha 310 smartphone, which claims to be the first Asha series smartphone in India with dual SIM and Wi-Fi connectivity. Previously, Nokia was reportedly found dominating the low-cost feature phone market with Asha series phones such as Nokia Asha 305, 306 and 311, and taking the dominance one step ahead, the company added another member, Asha 310, in the Asha family. Finally, the third awaited member of the Lumia Trio running on Windows Phone 8 operating system, Nokia Lumia 620, has touched the ground of Indian smartphone arena with a price tag of Rs. 14,999. This is the final price on which the Finnish handset maker, Nokia, is ready to sell out its third Windows Phone 8 powered smartphone on its official Indian website. Few days back, some online stores made Lumia 620 up for pre-order at Rs. 15,199. Happy news is that the actual price is bit lesser than what was assumed. After this official availability, this Windows droid will be delivered within a week and the users can pick their choice of color out of the five fruity and bright color options. Nokia Lumia 620 is an entry level Windows Phone 8 smartphone that will be the cheapest ever smartphone backed by this platform. Though upcoming Lumia 520 will grab this position, it is expected to be cheaper than Lumia 620.

Though Lumia 520 will be the cheapest Windows phone 8 OS based smartphone, as of now, Lumia 620 is the only contender of this position. Lumia 520 is going to be cheaper than that of Lumia 620, but its announcement in the country is still awaited with bated breath, though it has been made available in Europe for $183.
