Vodafone Essar, one of India’s leading cellular service providers, in association with Research In Motion, is organizing a service camp at select Vodafone Stores in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh starting January 4th -10th, 2012. As an extension of their ‘Happy to Help’ ideology, Vodafone is inviting all users of BlackBerry, irrespective of their service providers to come and get their BlackBerry smartphones serviced free of cost at these camps. World's largest mobile telecommunication network operator, Vodafone Essar has been joined by 36 lakh new subscriber in the last month. The company's total subscriber base become 1.39 crore, according to the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI). The all India GSM cellular users base stood at 42.18 crore, an increase of 3.42 percent as against to the last financial year data. On the other hand, Bharti Airtel is the largest cellular service provider in India, has also added 30 lakh new users in March but left behind by Vodafone Essar. Bharti Airtel's total subscriber base is at 12.7 crore, which accounts for a market share of 30.25 percent. Bharti Airtel comes followed by Vodafone Essar, which has a total users base of 10 crore and a market stake of 23.91 percent. State-run BSNL has been joined by a 24.82 lakh more new users last month, which has taken its market share to 15.05 per cent. Its total mobile user base is 6.34 crore.
