Notion Ink, a Bangalore based corporation, is all set to launch a dual-display tablet, named Notion Ink Adam 2. A day back, Notion Ink officially unveiled the tablet at an event organized for National Technology Awards 2013 in New Delhi. Back in January 2011, the company announced the successor of its first tablet Adam, but due to some unknown issues, the device never reached the shelves in the market, as a result of which the corporate defocused itself for about a year.
iBall is back in news with two of its latest phablets, iBall Andi 5L and 5Li. To lure the segment that could most easily bring profit to the company, the middle class segment, both the tablets have been priced attractively. Both, iBall Andi 5L and Andi 5Li price in India is Rs. 10,490. The last heard product from the company had come in August 2012, iBall Andi 5c, which sported a 5-inch screen. These new launches now have almost the same features except a few minor differences.
Nokia has officially unveiled the first member of the most popular Asha series, Nokia Asha 501, which will run on the new operating system, rather than the obsolete S40 platform. As reported earlier, the handset is a refurnished version of previous Asha series phones, which sports trendy colors, high-quality build and a more interactive user interface. This newest Asha member shares the design from the low-end Lumia smartphones.

Karbonn is ready to release its another quad-core smartphone named as Karbonn S2 Titanium that is gearing up for its expected launch on 14th May this year. It’s buzzing all over the technology arena that Nokia is ready to present its popular budget-friendly league of Asha handsets with a new punch. Reportedly, on 9th May, Nokia will host a global press event in New Delhi, where the company may announce Asha 501 handset along with few other devices. However, the press invites don't specify the subject of launch but as the invites were sent by Asha’s team members, so it can be assumed safely that these apparent devices would belong to Asha series. Stephen Elop, CEO commented on reframing the Asha series with a new design language and user interface by saying, “We have to make sure the product portfolio is as competitive as possible. We are due for a significant refresh.”
With the increased popularity and usage of tablets in India, countless local and global tablet manufacturers are coming with their new launches every fortnight. Gaining on the booming market, Zync, the Indian tablet brand has added a new slate, Zync Quad 10.1 to its league of quad-core based devices. The quarterly tablet tracker report generated by IDC declared that in this Q1, total 27.8 million Android tablets were dispatched, which is more than total number of tablet shipped in first half of 2012. Apple received the tag of top tablet vendor with highest shipping number throughout the first three months of the year, followed by Samsung, Asus and Amazon. However, in 2013, overall market share of iPads in tablet market has plunged harshly in comparison to the previous year.
