AIRCEL, one of the leading telecom services provider of India, is ready to enter in next generation services with the launch of 3G and 4G network. At present, the company has 13 telecom circles in the country and is planning to launch 3G/HSPA network in next 45 to 60 days. After that, it plans to launch 4G/BWA network services by the year of 2012.
The company sources indicates that this new innings of the company is huge task to complete in the given time. Only Aircel is India's fist telecom operator which will provide 4G services in the country, as per company's officers.
After the launch of 3G services, Aircel will start 4G/broadband wireless access services in India by the first or second quarter of 2011. But 4G services will be launched by the end of December or January 2012. And will be available first in 8 telecom circles.
AIRCEL has bagged 3G services license and ready to use it in its 13 circles such as Karnataka, Tamil Nadu Andhra Pradesh (including Chennai) Kerala, Punjab, U.P (East), Kolkata, West Bengal, Bihar & Jharkhand, Orissa, Assam, North East, and Jammu and Kashmir.
On the other hand, the company has hold the 4G/BWA, license for 8 telecom circles Tamil Nadu (including Chennai), Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Orissa, Assam, North-East, Jammu and Kashmir. It is to be noted that Reliance, Samsung, Motorola and a few other are willing to join the bandwagon very soon. Some 4G smartphones have been recently launched in just completed CES in Las vegas that includes HTC Inspire, HTC Thunderbolt, Motorola Atrix, Motorola Xoom, etc.
