These applications cost somewhere around Rs. 2500 and are being offered for free. This step taken by the company is being considered as an attempt to enable the buyers of entry segment smartphones to be able to afford some selcected applications.
It might also be a strategy aimed at countering the widely growing Android play market which is offering much higher number of free applications in comparison to BlacBerry App World.
This offer of providing free apps holds till the 30th of June. It involves a large variety of applications which will be rolled out in a systematic fashion. The apps mainly include utilities and gaming apps among other popular applications. Some other notable apps that will be provided under this promotional strategy are Pencil Camera, Photo Studio Pro, Ultimate cricket, Drive Safe Pro, Horoscope Oracle Follow your Lucky stars and many such famous and attractive apps.
Having said that amongst all these applications, only some haveto be actually paid apart from the offer. One such application is the Pencil camera that costs around Rs 150. This app allows the user to turn a clicket image in a pencil sketch art. This requires just 2 clicks - pointing the camera and snapping. The normal picture instantly converts into a pencil sketch. All these moves being taken by the company give strong indiactions that they have geared up to challenge the more dominant competitors in the
