American mobile manufacturer Dell has slashed its Dell Venue price in India to Rs 18500. Earlier Dell has tagged its mobile somewhere around Rs 22,000. With this drop down of price, now Dell Venue seems to be a nice deal. Though the phone is featured with a advanced attributes but it doesn't succeed to made its significant presence in the Indian market. It was expected that its high price might be one of the big reason of its failure. Dell Venue is quite comparable to other smartphones likes of Samsung and HTC manage in terms of features but it never seems to be a tough competitor to them. With this renewed price Dell is looking to increase the sales of the Dell Venue.
Looking from the front the phone sports a 4.1 inches AMOLED capacitive touchscreen capable of displaying the resolution at 480 x 800 pixels. The display screen is the resourceful assortment of a wide range of sensors including Dell Stage UI, Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, and Proximity sensor for auto turn-off. At the rear side of the phone a 8 MP camera is attached that turns your happy moments more joyous.
Technically, Dell Venue come powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm processor that runs Android OS, v2.2 (Froyo) on it. Dell is also planning to upgrade it to Gingerbread. In terms of memory Dell Venue offers huge storage space of 1 GB ROM and 512 MB RAM which can be expendable upto 32 GB with the use of microSD memory card. Further the phone also offers a wide range of connectivity option like GPRS, EFGE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB to transfer data locally.
Looking at all these advanced features and specs, it was believed that it will stir the Android market, but it couldn't happen. Now with a lesser price tag Dell is all set to show its presence in the Indian mobile market with its Dell Venue. At the new price Dell Venue is not a bad option to try.
