Panasonic had recently revealed its new model of smartphone Panasonic Eluga Power in Eluga series. This new model from Panasonic will be competing with other smartphone models like LG Optimus Vu and Samsung Galaxy Note. Eluga Power is the second model from Panasonic in Eluga series, and also second phone from Panasonic, outside Japanese market. Eluga Power is larger than its sibling Eluga series phone. Eluga Power has a display area of 5 inch with a resolution of 1280 X 720 pixels with HD LCD screen. Smartphone, with a large display area of 5-inch usually, have a wider bezel around the screen, but Eluga Power has thinner bezel, which helps in handling phones comfortably. Eluga Power will be running on Android 4.0 [Ice Cream Sandwich] operating system.
Eluga Power is fitted with 1.5 GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. Eluga Power has an internal memory of 8 GB, and the memory of this phone can be scaled up to 32 GB through microSD card. Eluga Power is dust and water proof handset. This phone is fitted with 8-megapixel camera on the rear end, with complete HD recording feature up to 1080p. This phone is also fitted with on camera on the front panel as a secondary phone which can be used for video calling or conferencing.
Eluga Power uses 1800-mAH battery. The Fast Charge Technology helps in quick battery charge. The battery can be charged 50% in just 30 minutes. Eluga Power has good internet connectivity through Wi-Fi, 3G, GPS, NFC, and micro-USB connectivity. Eluga Power will be available in the European market later this year and also they are looking to launch this product in North America mobile market too, as said by the Panasonic official. The price of this smartphone is not known yet.
