Mobile News India - HP launches Veer and Pre 3 mobile phones

HP the laptop and computer giant has entered in the mobile phone market with the launching of HP Veer and HP Pre 3. Both the recently launched 3G mobiles run on HP webOS 2.2 operating system. The mobiles having gingerbread features and prove value for money in the segment.

HP Veer is slider device that has full QWERTY keypad. The device is powered by a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 8x55 CPU, and has 512MB of RAM. This new arrival mobile phone supports 3G network and operates at frequency of GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 / HSDPA 850 / 1900 Mhz. HP's popular Operating System HP webOS 2.2 which has recently been launched in the market is used in the mobile that provides fast access facility.

The Slider HP Veer is furnished with 2.6-inch Multitouch Screen with a Vibrant 18-Bit Color, TFT capacitive touchscreen, 256K colors that provides excellent picture quality. The mobile has a rear facing 5.0 Mega Pixels Camera with fixed focus and a VGA camera front so this handset is capable to make video calls and video chatting. The mobile supports Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP, EDR and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot. This new brid in the market will be available in only Black body colour.

HP Pre 3 is another 3G mobile by the company which is having 3.58 inches, Multitouch TFT Capacitive Touchscreen with a Vibrant 24-bit Color and supports 16M colors. The dimension of the device are 111x64x16 MM. This mobile has a dual camera like primary is Auto Focus and LED Flash 5.0 megapixel with resolution of 2592 x1093;1944 Pixels and secondary is 0.3 MP, VGA Camera that generates resolution of 640x480 Pixels. The mobile runs on HP webOS 2.2 operating system and powered by 1.4 GHz Scorpion processor. All the music features such as MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, AMR, QCELP, WAV with Loudspeaker, 3.5mm Audio Jack and Mono Speakerphone are available in it.

The HP Pre 3 supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP. This mobile operates at network frequency of GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 / HSDPA 900 / 2100 / CDMA dual-mode. This 3G mobile has internal memory of 8GB and 16 GB furnished with 512 MB RAM.

The company has not announced price for the device but these are expected with affordable and competitor price range. The mobile will be available in black color.
