Nokia, the another name of trustworthiness, has unveiled Nokia Asha 310 smartphone, which claims to be the first Asha series smartphone in India with dual SIM and Wi-Fi connectivity. Previously, Nokia was reportedly found dominating the low-cost feature phone market with Asha series phones such as Nokia Asha 305, 306 and 311, and taking the dominance one step ahead, the company added another member, Asha 310, in the Asha family. The smartphone is already up for sale on major online and retail stores. Priced at Rs. 5,601, the device is now available on Nokia India's official website also.
Briefing the specifications, Nokia Asha 310 smartphone sports a 3-inch capacitive display with a new technology that keeps the screen scratch-less. It houses a 2MP camera and comes pre-embedded with dozens of software like YouTube player, Nokia Xpress browser, 40 free games from EA, Nokia Maps, and Nokia’s nearby web app. Besides, you can download other freeware and premium software applications such as Facebook, Whatsapp, etc from the in-built Nokia Store application. Nokia recently announced the compatibility of popular messaging app, that is, WhatsApp, with the dual-SIM Asha phones. Akin to most of Nokia’s 2 to 3 inch smartphones, Nokia Asha 310 also comes with Symbian OS which is pretty stable, versatile and strong.
Although, 3G is missing, Asha 310 is equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM, Micro USB, 64MB RAM, 128MB ROM and two SIM card slots. It features Nokia's patent "Easy Swap" technology, which allows switiching between two SIMs without turning off the phone. Another noteworthy feature is the presence of SIM manager application using which enables users can assign unique profiles for up to five SIM cards.
Nokia Asha 310 is powered by a BL-4U 1,100 mAh which gives it 17 hours of talk time and claims a full day back up. Finally, Nokia Asha 310 holds 54mmx 109.9mm x 13mm dimensions and weights around 101.6gms.
