Samsung is doing great in the smartphone market in India and has recorded the best ever sales in the recent quarters. In order to compete with the current scenario, Nokia is heading ahead with two of its smartphones, Nokia Lumia 900 and Nokia Lumia 610, both are running on the Mango platform by Microsoft's Windows phone operating system. These smartphones will be launched in the month of June this year and for this, Nokia is training its sales team for increasing the sales of these two smartphones. Nokia Lumia 900 will be available at Rs. 28,000 and is thus a high-end device by the company whereas Nokia Lumia 610 is a low-end droid with a price tag of Rs. 11,000.
Nokia hasn't been in news since the launch of Nokia Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 last year in the month of December, but now there is a bundle of products that are expected to be launched by this Finnish Handset maker, later or sooner this year, amongst which the most talked about handset is Nokia PureView 808 which has, the first ever, 41 MP camera. Nokia Lumia 900 and Lumia 610 are sharing the platform of Windows Phone 7.5 Mango OS. Nokia Lumia 900 boasts a 4.3 inches AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a pixel density of 217 ppi and 16M color schemes. The display is made up of scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass and is powered by 1.4 GHz Scorpion processor with Qualcomm APQ8055 Snapdragon chipset.
The amazing 8 MP auto focus camera captures images with a resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels and to enable the user to have snapshots in the dim light, it has dual LED flash with Carl Zeiss optics and Geo-tagging feature and there is secondary camera also and the internal memory holds 16 GB storage capacity with no slot for microSD card. On the other hand, Nokia Lumia 610 is an entry level smartphone in Lumia series with a 3.7 inch TFT display with capacitive touchscreen and has 252 ppi pixel density. Powered by 800 MHz processor this handset supports net connectivity through Wi-Fi, 3G, etc.
The 5 MP auto focus camera comes with LED flash and provides resolution of 2592 х 1944 pixels and has features such as geo-tagging and face detection, but there is no secondary camera. This phone also do not have a microSD card slot but has an internal storage capacity of 8 GB. Nokia Lumia 900 has 1830 mAh battery for talktime up to 7 hours whereas Lumia 610 has 1300 mAh battery for talktime up to 9 hours 30 minutes on 3G. Nokia lovers are eagerly waiting for more launches by the company and with the launch of Nokia PureView, Nokia might get successful in turning the game towards its side.
