Samsung India had recently made the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 available for pre-orders on its website, but now the tech giant has taken the excitement a step further. Samsung recently revealed the launch date during the Samsung Galaxy Note 2's orientation event for its sales team and retailers. With the launch slated to be organised on September 27, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 also added its name to the growing list of tech launches in September. It has also been reported that Samsung announced that they will start shipping this unique amalgamation of a phone and a tablet to Europe on the same day, and the first country to get it will be Germany. Italy, and Netherlands, France and UK are next in line with release dates set for September 28 and October 1st and 2nd, respectively. However the smartphone will not be available in India until the first week of October.
The second member of the Samsung Galaxy Note family was first announced at IFA 2012, and was rumoured to be launched at Samsung's press event slated to be held on September 27 in Hyderabad. And even though the Korean tech giant has finally confirmed the dates, there is still no word about its pricing yet. While they prepare for the launch, Samsung made the Note II available for pre-orders at its e-store with a payment of Rs 5, 000. Though this amount paid for pre-order is non-refundable, Samsung India's online store assures that they will provide a desktop dock worth Rs 2, 399, free of cost, to the ones who book the smartphone in advance.
This successor to the first Samsung Galaxy Note phablet will sport a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED HD display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels, and will be powered by a quad-core Exynos processor clocked at 1.6GHz. Samsung Galaxy Note II (GT-N7100) houses a massive 2GB RAM and three storage options --- 16/ 32/ 64GB. Furthermore, Note II will run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and also feature an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.9-megapixel camera on the front.
