Take a long breath, as the highly awaited flagship smartphone by Samsung, Galaxy S III, is finally stepping its big foot in the Indian smartphone market, as announced by the company, officially. The biggest ever global launch for a smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S III, is going to start from 31st May 2012 when the company will initiate its Galaxy S III in nine-city world tour from New Delhi and Sydney. The news was revealed by the company's blog that stated that the device would be available in United Kingdom, France, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Europe and the Middle East and Africa starting today.
The price of this astounding smartphone is expected to be around Rs. 34,000 and Samsung claims to launch this flagship droid across 145 countries by July this year, thus making it the fastest global roll-out ever. The siblings of this smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy S II were launched in 112 and 135 countries, respectively. Earlier it was reported that the company has already received more than 9 million pre-orders for this anticipated device which itself has created a record.
Samsung Galaxy S III is running on Android platform, Android v.4.0.4 ICS OS, with TouchWiz UI v.4.0 on top of it and the amazing 4.8 inches wide super AMOLED display has capacitive touchscreen which provides a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels with a dumbfound pixel density of 306 ppi and 16M color scheme. This great screen is made-up of scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass and is powered by Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A9 processor with Exynos 4212 Quad chipset. The most attracting part of this smartphone is its 8 MP auto focus camera which comes with LED flash and has nice features such as the user can take snapshots in the midst of recording a video, geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection and image stabilization.
