Description:

The latest news from our sources tell us that the Spice Mobility, also  known as S Mobility is going to offer two new Android tablets with larger display screen of 9.7” under Rs 20,000. Both the tablets will differ in specifications, with one loaded with high-end specifications, the other will be a humble version with lesser price. The exact details with respect to the price are not shared.

Spice Mobiles is until now known to offer low-end models phones. However, the mobile manufacturer is now looking to focus on the Smart tablets with internet connectivity to capitalize on the masses using the internet. Nevertheless, the specifications on the upcoming tablets are not disclosed. The only information related to the Spice’s 97 “ tablets is that they are likely to come with rather meek 800 MHz processor and another one with 1 GHz processor on the Android Gingerbread 2.3 OS.

Spice mobiles has recently launched its first tablet as a part of diverting its focus from the entry-level products. Spice MiTab or Mi 720 is an Android tab with 7” display screen with  Spice Mi 720 price in India at  Rs 13,000. The new tablet is competitively priced to challenge Reliance Mobile 3G Tab. The tablets runs on the Android 2.2 Froyo and comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU of 800 MHz. The tablet supports the Adobe Flash Player and HTML along with the connectivity features like Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, and GPS. The tablet comes with a 2MP rear camera and a VGA front camera to support the video chatting. The Spice Mi720 tab comes with an expandable memory of 32 GB with the help of the microSD card. The tablet sells in 50,000 retail shops of S Mobility including the 750 spice hotspot retail chain.

Spice mobiles apparently has high plans to compete the MNC mobile brands with its low-priced feature rich phones, which are now smarter too. In a step to increase its brand value, the company has hiked the price of its Rs 2000 mobiles to Rs 3,500.
