The Chinese smartphone manufacturer, OnePlus entered the mobile market in late 2013 and from then on has been consistently delivering exceptional quality products and services. OnePlus was founded by Pete Lau and Carl Pei having the headquarters based in Guangdong. Till now 6 smartphones have been manufactured by the company which were undoubtedly tough competitors in their respective segments.

The OnePlus 5 features a 5.5-inch Full HD with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels Optic AMOLED display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is powered by two Kyro 280 quad-core processor clocked at 2.45GHz and 1.9GHz placed upon Snapdragon 835 chipset. The RAM offered by the device is 6GB of RAM and Adreno GPU 540. The device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. In terms of optics, there a dual camera setup on the rear with 16MP and 20MP sensors that supports 4K video recording, HDR, exposure compensation, ISO control, digital zoom, digital image stabilization, auto flash and touch to focus. There is a 16MP front selfie shooter for capturing photos and video calling. The device is powered by a 3300 mAh battery that delivers decent endurance. There is also dash charging support to fast charging the device. On connectivity front, there are 4G, VoLTE, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS and Type-C support. The OnePlus 5 gets tough competition from the Sony Xperia XZs, Apple iPhone 6s and the LG G6 in terms of price and specifications.
