The Google Instant Apps enables a user to download a portion of the app which is needed for basic functionality. After this, the app would take you to a webpage of the app which is certainly faster than downloading the whole app. In case your friend has sent you an app link through any of the messaging tools, in the conventional method, you would have to download it completely before watching, say, a Buzzfeed video. What Instant Apps would do is nullify the waiting and the multiple taps that you input in order to access just one video. This functionality would take you directly to the webpage and furthermore, to the video that your friend shared. If you want to follow that channel or download that app being completely aware that you would regularly use it, you can do so.

How Much Effort Would Developers Have To Make?

It would all depend on the integration of the app on the Instant App functionality and how big the app is. For smaller or low capacity apps, however, building an Instant App functionality would not take more than a day, according to the company.

For larger apps or for apps that require a whole lot of data, this process would take longer. It all depends on the developer and what he wishes to keep on the Instant App interface.
