HMD Global-owned Nokia has launched six smartphones since its launch in one year. And now, it is again in news for reportedly working on the successor of its flagship smartphone, Nokia 8, monikered as Nokia 9. The phone has been in news for a while now and we have seen various render leaks suggesting the design and specifications of the phone.

In a recent report by MyDrivers, the HMD Global will be launching its upcoming smartphone, Nokia 9 on Jan 19. The reports further claimed that HMD GLobal will be launching another phone alongside a another phone which is speculated to be the 2018 edition Nokia 8. Both the phone are expected to be launched initially in China and will hit other markets, including India later next year.

However, he HMD Global is yet to officially announce the launch date of these smartphones which is expected in few days. The report suggests that the Nokia 9 and next-generation Nokia 8 will be customized only for Chinese market and will come in three colour variants.

Going by the leaks, the Nokia 9 will feature a 5.5-inch QHD display. The phone will come in two RAM variants – one with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage while the high-end variant will come with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It will come with dual rear camera setup and house a bezel-less display.

The Nokia 9 is expected to be priced at around CNY 3,699 (roughly Rs 35,965) for the 64GB variant. The high-end variant with 128GB storage will be priced at CNY 4,199 (roughly Rs 40,826).

Nokia 8 (2018)

There is no information leaked about the next generation of Nokia 8 smartphone, Nokia 8 (2018). The Nokia 8 was launched back in the September and now the new phone is expected to be launched at a cost of Rs 36,999.
