Huawei’s auxiliary brand Honor released its latest budget smartphone today, the Honor 6 play along with the V9 play. The smartphone comes with a price tag of CNY 599 which is roughly Rs 6,000 and is available from September 7 only in China. The sale of Honor V9 Play will start from September 12 at CNY 999, which is roughly Rs 9,800.

The Honor 6 play is an extremely affordable dual-sim smartphone with several features that are found only on high-end devices. If we look at the specifications, the Honor 6 play comes with 4G-VoLTE activated. It has a MediaTek MT6750 chipset punched in a 1.4Ghz Octa-core Cortex A-53 and Mali-T860MP2 GPU. While the Honor V9 Play is powered by a 1.5Ghz MediaTek MT6750 chipset along with Mali-T860MP2 GPU. The Honor V9 Play runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat atop Honors EMUI 5.1.

The device sports a 2GB RAM with 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB. It features a 5-inch Full HD display and a resolution of 1280X720 pixels. Talking about the camera, it comes with an 8MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture supported by a dual led flash light and a 5MP front camera with f/2.4 aperture supported by a single led flash light for selfies in addition to an 84-degree wide angle lens at the front. In addition to that, the Honor 6 play comes with a finger print sensor that is capable of unlocking the device within 0.4 seconds. The Honor 6 Play is powered by a 3020mAh battery, runs on Android 6.0 marshmallow OS and is packed under EMUI 4.1. The phone weighs around 150grams and has dimensions of 143.8x72x8.85mm. It is available in two colour options: White and Gold.

The Honor V9 Play comes with a 5.2-inch 720p display. The Honor V9 offers 3GB RAM and an internal storage of 32GB internal storage. The device sports a 13MP camera sensor on the rear with an aperture of f/2.2 along with phase detection autofocus (PDAF). There is also an 8MP front selfie shooter. The battery capacity is of 3000mAh. The phone is available in five colour variants: Gold, Rose Gold, Blue, Red and Black.

The most amazing thing about the Honor 6 play is its price. At a price of just CNY 599, the smartphone is power packed with some amazing features that no other smartphone at this range carries. For now, this smartphone is available only in China and we are still waiting for Honor to enter the global market.
