This report could be legit, since there was a similar report from the French website, Mac4ever. The report published on the website claimed that the latest iPhones will be up for sales just after a week and a half from the official launch.
Going back to last year, Apple revealed its iPhone 7 on September 7, pre-orders started on September 9 and shipping started on September 16, a week after the official launch. Thus, we can expect a similar line up this year too.
Within this course of time, Apple might also release the latest iOS 11 along with macOS High Sierra, tvOS 11, and WatchOS 4.
