Domestic manufacturer Micromax launched its much-awaited Canvas Infinity smartphone in India on Tuesday. The standout feature of the smartphone is its 5.7-inch 18:9 display. The Micromax Canvas Infinity is available for sale on Amazon India exclusive at a price of Rs 9,999. The phone will be available for offline sale at a later date. The first sale of Canvas Infinity will start from September 1, registrations for which have already begun.

Canvas Inifnity

The Micromax Canvas Infinity hosts a 5.7-inch IPS display with 720×1440 pixels with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor. The device offers 3GB of RAM with an internal storage space of 32GB, which can be further expanded up to 128GB with the help of a microSD card slot.

In terms of optics, the 16-megapixel selfie camera with soft selfie flash is the biggest standout feature of the smartphone. The aperture of f/2.0, 5P lens and face beauty modes make it a very extraordinary selfie camera in this price segment. The phone also features a Super Pixel capable of clicking multiple pictures at the same time and combining them to give you higher resolution and a more detailed photo. There is also a 13-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/2.0 aperture on the rear. The rear camera allows you to capture a Real Time Bokeh effect and Re-Focus option. The mode allows you to select the area of focus after shooting.

Canvas Infinity

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11/b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, AGPS, and OTG support. The phone is capable of capturing extended screenshots and also features gesture based shortcuts. The device is backed by a 2900mAh battery that provides a talktime of 20 hours and a standby time of 420 hours.

The Micromax Canvas Infinity features a metal body with the fingerprint scanner located at the back, just below the camera. The 3.5mm jack sits on the top of the phone while the speakers are located at the back. Micromax has also confirmed that the Canvas Infinity will get the Android O update soon.
