Micromax will enter the bezel-less smartphone market with its upcoming Canvas Infinity Series. The domestic handset maker had already revealed that the Canvas Infinity Smartphone series will be announced at an event in New Delhi on 22nd August.The company has been heavily teasing about the launch of its Infinity Canvas smartphones on the social media platforms. It has also launched a dedicated web page for users to sign-up for potential notifications about the upcoming smartphone. A recent tweet by the company read, “Your smartphone experience is about to get a notch higher”, with hashtags “Expand Your View” and “Canvas Infinity”.

As per the photos released by the domestic manufacturer, the Canvas Infinity smartphones will sport an almost bezel-less design with a thin bezel on each side, but a little broader chin. The teaser image had already revealed that the Canvas Infinity series will feature a display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The home button is also not seen in the image which suggests the entire Canvas Infinity series is expected to host on-screen navigation buttons.

Notably, Micromax is not the only smartphone manufacturing company which is about to launch bezel-less design, we have seen iPhone 8 leaks showing complete bezel-less display, and a recent video revealed that Xiaomi is soon the to launch three-side bezel-less display. But, at present, Micromax will have to compete with the already launched Samsung Galaxy S8, which is claimed to the biggest seller of all time with selling more than 10 million units worldwide in the second quarter.

Micromax Canvas was once one of the highest-selling Android smartphone series in India, but currently, the company seems struggling to get back into the market. The company has revealed that the Canvas Infinity smartphone will be announced on 22nd August this year. Price and other specifications have yet not been the revealed. But, the design speaks for itself that it is expected to be offered at a premium.
