Last week Motorola listed their 12 smartphones devices that will get the Android Oreo upgrade. But the list did not include the G4 series devices, which really disappoint the G series users. After this, there are lots of rumors in the market that it is unexpected by the users to not get Android 8 Oreo update in G family. So, finally, the Motorola has confirmed that they are also upgrading the Moto G4 Plus to Android 8 Oreo, through their blog post.

In blog post-Motorola mentioned that: “ It’s been brought to our attention that there were some errors in our marketing materials around Android O upgrades for Moto G4 Plus. This was an oversight on our part and we apologize for this miscommunication. It’s our general practice for the Moto G family to get one major OS upgrade per device, but it’s important to us we keep our promises, so in addition to the N upgrade it has already received, we will be upgrading Moto G4 Plus to Android O. ”

After this unclear blog they finally confirmed the G4 Plus will have Android 8 Oreo upgrade by adding: “So now that it is confirmed that the Moto G4 Plus will be upgraded to Android Oreo, the companies are upgrading select phones – Moto G4 Plus should also get the Oreo update wither by the end of this year or by the beginning of next year.”

According to the list the 12 Moto phone will have Android Oreo upgrade are: Moto Z, Moto Z Droid, Moto Z Force Droid, Moto Z Play, Moto Z Play Droid, Moto Z2 Play, Moto Z2 Force Edition, Moto X4, Moto G5, Moto G5 Plus, Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus. The brand has finally added the Moto G4 Plus in this list by confirming about its Android Oreo upgrade.

Meanwhile, there is no news and report about the Moto E4 and E4 Plus that they will get Oreo upgrade or not. Both the phones are launched few months back and currently running on the Android Nougat. According to the current situation, the users have less hope to enjoy the latest features of Android Oreo in E4 and E4 Plus.
