HMD Global unveiled the Nokia 6 alongside Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 earlier this year. While Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 are were made available through offline stores In India, the Nokia 6 will go on sale in India for the first time today at 12 pm IST exclusively via Amazon. Registrations for the first sale closed on Monday, however, you can register now to participate in next sale on August 30. The smartphone will be made available in three colour variants, Matte Black, Silver and Tempered Blue.

The Nokia 6 is priced at Rs 14,999 in India available only through Amazon India. Amazon is offering Amazon Pay balance of Rs 1,000 and 80 percent discount on Kindle e-books up to Rs 300. Other launch offers include Rs 2,500 discount on MakeMyTrip and 45GB of free data from Vodafone for five months.

The Nokia 6 hosts a 5.5-inch full HD IPS display with 1080×1920 pixels protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 SoC processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It sports a 16-megapixel rear camera sensor with PDAF, an aperture of f/2.0, a 1-micron pixel sensor and dual-tone LED flash. There is an 8-megapixel autofocus front camera with an 84-degree wide-angle lens and an aperture of f/2.0.
The Nokia 6 offers an in-built storage of 32GB that can be expanded via a hybrid SIM slot. There are two SIM slots one of which can be used with SIM card and a memory card. On the connectivity front, there is 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, NFC, Micro-USB with OTG support.
The smartphone features an all aluminum unibody with a 3.5mm audio jack on the top. Sound output is through Dolby Atmos and a fingerprint sensor. The device also includes an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer and proximity sensor. The battery capacity of the device is 3000mAh.
The Nokia 6 is a mid-range smartphone by the Finnish giant which would compete with the likes of Samsung’s mid-range models. That said, Nokia is a bit late into the game with their smartphone range and would have a lot of ground to cover.
