• It shows that the corporation is one of the first to publicly release any form of Android Oreo for a device
  • New Android Oreo includes alongside a large number of the customization choices incorporated into Oxygen OS
  • The build will wipe app and cache data, but Internal Storage will be saved (pictures and files)

OnePlus keeps on awing: two of its 2016 flagships, the 3 and 3T, are getting Oreo on account of the Open Beta program. So in case, you’re running OnePlus’ most recent and most prominent programming, at that point, this is a refresh worth getting energized for. Also, in case you’re not living on the edge yet, at that point this may urge you to do as such.

Dissimilar, the closed beta group, upgrades revolve through OnePlus open beta channels that can be availed by the customers and based on their user skills and feedback, the organization will fine-tune the upgrades before rolling them out through official channels.

  • System changes
  • Update to Android O (8.0)
  • Added Picture in Picture
  • Added Auto-fill
  • Added Smart text selection
  • New Quick Settings design
  • Sept

Launcher changes

  • Added Notification dots in Launcher
  • Added OnePlus account login for access to Shot on OnePlus
  • Now able to upload photos directly to Shot on OnePlus through wallpapers

Known issues:

  • Fingerprint actions may be slower than you are used to.
  • Shortcut to access Google Photos is unavailable
  • Some stability issues with NFC and Bluetooth
  • Performance and compatibility of 3rd party apps will continue to be optimized

As predictable, there are some issues with such a major upgrading in beta phase. For starters, there are some function optimization issues and the fingerprint scanner will be performing slower than you are used to – for now. Reverting back to the previous Open Beta is a convoluted process, but it can be done while keeping the internal storage data. You can find rollback instructions below, borrowed from OnePlus’ thread.

There is such an awesome viewpoint to watch OnePlus’ mounting commitment in various things the OnePlus 3 and 3T are as yet getting such a great amount of consideration from the organization, even after the OnePlus has been discharged. While the organization continues getting itself entangled in contention (and the planning of this refresh may have a remark with that), we can, at any rate, laud their product bolster endeavors. Presently it’s the ideal opportunity for us to get blazing!
