HMD Global has officially announced that it will be rolling out Oreo Beta Labs for Nokia 6 in India. The users can expect the stable build soon and this was tweeted by the Chief Product Office of HMD Global. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, this smartphone comes with a dual-sight option with ‘Bothie’ mode. Now, this addition in the handset will add another feather in its cap.

According to the tweet of Juho Savikas, Beta Labs are “well on track”. Earlier in December, Nokia 6 and Nokia 5 was released with Android 8.0 Oreo open beta program. It is important to remember that Nokia 8 is the only handset from HMD Global, which has received the stable build of Android 8.0 Oreo.

With a rear fingerprint scanner, this device runs on Android Nougat and users can embrace Oreo Beta Labs by downloading it via Wi-Fi connection. The size of the Android 8.0 Oreo Beta upgrade for Nokia 6 is about 1.7GB. It is important to backup the data before you opt to download this beta build. In case, consumers want to return to Android Nougat even after the installation of the beta build, they need to remember that all the data on their phone will be erased.
