It doesn’t seem to be a good news for Apple iPhone buyers as the prices of the handset have increased marginally. Although, this step has been taken to promote “Make in India”, but for the time being it seems difficult for all the electronic products that are imported in the country and Apple devices being one of them has to pay the prices. Interestingly, as iPhone SE is the only device from the Cupertino based tech giant that is not imported, so its price remains the same. From the last year June, iPhone SE has been assembled in India by Wistron. Hence, it will carry the price tag of Rs 26,000 for 32GB variant and the model with 128GB storage capacity is priced at Rs, 35,000.

Apple iPhone 7 Front

According to Apple the price rise on iPhone models and Apple Watches is merely up to 3-4% and 8.5%, respectively. As far as the Apple Watches are concerned, the price of Apple Watch Series 3 (38mm) has increased from Rs. 29,900 to Rs. 32,380, whereas the Apple Watch Series 3 (42mm) price has increased from Rs. 31,900 to Rs. 34,410, respectively. Even, the smaller watches like the Watch Series 3 GPS has increased prices of Rs 32,380 for 38mm and Rs 34,410 for 42 mm, respectively.

Apart from this, the cost of the older such as iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone 6s as well the newer iPhones – iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 7, prices have increased. Scroll down to learn more about their price change.

Price Change In Apple iPhone X, Apple iPhone 8 And iPhone 8 Plus

Released at a starting price of Rs 89,000 for the handset with 64GB internal storage, iPhone X is now available at Rs 95,390. The highest version of iPhone with 256GB storage capacity, which was rolled out at Rs 1,02,000, is now priced at Rs 1,08,930. Coming to the Apple’s flagship devices – iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, the smartphone iPhone 8 is now available at Rs 67,940 (64GB) and Rs 81,500 (256GB), respectively, while the iPhone 8 Plus is now priced at Rs 77,560( 64GB) and Rs 91,110 (256GB), respectively.

Apple iPhone 7 And iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6S And iPhone 6S Plus

Similarly, the prices of the iPhone 7 for 32GB and 128GB memory is Rs 52,370 and Rs 61,560, respectively, while the prices of the iPhone 7 Plus both 32GB and 128GB variant is now Rs 62,840 and Rs 72,060, respectively. Furthermore, for older devices, the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6S, the prices are Rs 31,900 (for 32GB iPhone 6 storage variant), Rs 42,900 (for iPhone 6S 32GB variant) and Rs 52,100 (for 12 8GB storage iPhone 6S model), respectively. The premium iPhone 6S Plus model having a 32GB inbuilt storage, is now carrying a price tag of Rs 52,240. All these prices have come into effect from February, 5, i.e. today and is a result of the increase in import duty (from 15% to 20%) on mobile phones.
