Vivo and Oppo are never going to stop challenging each other. Yet again, both the smartphone giants in India have slashed the price of their flagship devices. Oppo has cut the price of Oppo F3 and now Vivo V7 has also received a price cut. The phone was launched last month in November itself at Rs. 18,990 in India. Even a price cut was done in the starting of this December only of Vivo V5s and was brought down to Rs. 15,990 for the Indian users from its launch price of Rs. 18,990.

Coming back to the price slash in Vivo V7, it is important for customers to know that this device is available at the new price offline as well as online at Flipkart, Amazon and Paytm Mall. Furthermore, the handset is available at Rs. 16,990 in all variants – Matte Black, Champagne Gold and the most recently unveiled energetic blue color variant.

Vivo V7 Specifications

As far as the specifications are considered, the smartphone is quite good and can challenge Oppo F3 with its 5.7-inch HD + FullView IPS display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels and 18:9 of aspect ratio. The device runs on FunTouch OS 3.2, which is based on Android 7.1 Nougat OS and is coupled with a 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 450 chipset. The smartphone also carries 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage capacity, which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card with dual-SIM (Nano+Nano).

For the selfie lovers, this is a better option with respect to Oppo F3, as the smartphone is donning a 24-megapixel front camera sensor having an aperture of f/2.0 and a soft ‘Moonlight Glow’ selfie light. Nonetheless, this is not a device with dual rear camera setup and is accompanied with a 16-megapixel rear sensor alongside an LED flash and a f/2.0 aperture. The 3000mAh battery and dimensions of 149.3×72.8×7.9mm with 139 grams weight is also not bad with respect to the price. Still, one cannot say how much this step will help Vivo as it is facing the competition not only from Oppo, but also from other devices such as Honor 7X and Motorola G5s Plus.
