  • To be promoted during upcoming 2018 Football World Cup in Russia

The spec sheet of the Vivo X20 and X20 Plus smartphones have been leaked ahead of their official launch. It all happened when the banners of the upcoming 2018 Football World Cup were leaked. As the Chinese technology company will be sponsoring the soccer event in Russia, the specifications of its smartphones were listed as a part of the marketing material.

Furthermore, a China-based publication known as news.sina.com has reported that it has the complete spec sheet of the alleged Vivo X20. Besides the X20, the site claims to have got its hand over some crucial features of the X20 Plus as well. The biggest aspect which is keeping the enthusiasts intrigued is the bezel-less, full-screen design of the smartphones. The information looks authentic as there were earlier reports of both the Vivo X20 and X20 Plus being launched.

The basic difference between the two is the screen size. While the Vivo X20 is likely to feature a 5.2 inch display, the X20 Plus would be getting a bigger, 5.5 inch display. Delivering a complete HD resolution, the aspect ratio of the smartphones is likely to be the same – 18:9.

The processor of the X20 would be the 64-bit Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor, whereas the Snapdragon 660 processor will be powering the X20 Plus.

Sharing the common technology from Vivo, both the smartphones are also identical in many ways. The Vivo X20 and X20 Plus are reported to be packed with a 6 GB RAM, a 3,500 mAh battery and an Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system. Likely to be projected as selfie phones, the X20 and X20 Plus both feature an impressive 24MP front facing camera for selfie obsessed people.

The above features are most likely to make way in the new Vivo phones but there is another rumour that the X20 and X20 Plus would be featuring an under-screen fingerprint scanner. Though, this piece of information is highly dubious.
The Vivo X20 and Vivo X20 Plus launch date is not confirmed yet, but it could be out anytime soon.

Vivo Mobiles has been aggressively marketing in the country with huge amount of investment being put in the physical marketing involving wrapping off towers, shops and houses in key locations with Vivo branded material. And its hard work has started to pay off as its market share has been constantly rising despite increased competition.
