  • Two variants on offer, 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB
  • Slightly thicker glass and 10 mm top bezels
  • USB Type-C charging support

Renders of the Xiaomi Mi 6c has been revealed by Baidu which suggests that unlike its predecessor, the Xiaomi Mi 6, the new offering would have a sleeker design language with chamfered edges similar to the Xiaomi Mi 6, but not exactly the same. Along with the renders, the specifications of the new smartphone have also been leaked hinting at its imminent India launch. The leak also suggests that the Xiaomi Mi 6c is expected to be available in two variants, 4GB RAM and 64 GB memory or 6GB RAM and 128 GB memory. While the former is expected to be priced around CNY 2,000 or Rs 18,900 the latter is expected to have a price tag of CNY 2,500 or Rs 23,600.

MI 6C Leaked

The leak seems to suggest that the black window next to the flash panel is a secondary camera with a 5-megapixel sensor. This means there isn’t a proper dual camera setup. What is retained or looks like it is the same is the home button which is also expected to have the fingerprint sensor. Bezels on the side have been trimmed which now measure 2.5 mm in width and the top bezel is now 10mm. The display is protected by a 2.5D glass which is 0.6 mm thicker than the Mi 6.

The Xiaomi Mi 6c is expected to be powered by a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor based on the 14nm FinFET process. Video capabilities are speculated to be 4K video capture as well as playback capabilities with Vulkan API Support. It is expected to run on the Android 7.1 Nougat with a 5.1- inch full HD display. The popularity of Chinese smartphones in the country has surely been on the rise. That’s due to their value-for-money proposition which has made it not just affordable, but the barrage of features available in them has also attracted the more price-sensitive buyers.
