YU, a 100% subsidiary of Micromax Informatics unveiled the next iteration of its successful Yureka smartphone, Yureka 2 in India today. The device will be made available exclusively on Flipkart on it’s Big Billion day on September 20.

The Yureka 2 has a compact and sturdy body and feels very comfortable during one-hand operation with the ergonomic grip. The device features a 5.5-inch display with a pixel resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. The Yureka 2 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor. The device offers 4GB of RAM and an inbuilt storage of 64GB. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

In terms of optics, the device sports a 16MP camera sensor on the rear with dual LED flash. There is also an 8MP front selfie shooter. The rear camera features night mode, multi shots, beauty mode, autofocus and more.

There is a fingerprint scanner has been shifted from Home button to the back of the phone below the camera. The battery capacity is of 3930mAh with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 facility and a talk time and music playback of more than 24 hours.

The Yureka 2 is a budget smartphone from the Yu, the second iteration of Yureka, which was one of the best selling smartphones by the company. It is priced at Rs 11,999 and will be made available exclusively on Flipkart from Big Billion Day Sale which will start from September 20.
