Honor has made its intentions clear that it will be launching Honor 9 Lite in India, which will be available via Flipkart only. The smartphone Honor 9 Lite was earlier unveiled in China last month and carries dual camera both at the rear and the front and a glass unibody design. In China, it was launched at a starting price of CNY 1199, which when converted directly is Rs 10,800. It is speculated that the handset will be available in India at a similar price, but nothing could be said with certainty.

Honor 9 Lite Specifications

The smartphone sports a 5.65-inch Full-HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The handset will be carrying 2.5D curved glass on top and a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The Shenzhen headquartered Chinese brand has powered this device by Honor HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset, which is clocked at 2.36GHz and is coupled with the Mali T830-MP2 GPU. In China, the device was released in three variants. Two carried 4GB of RAM with 32GB and 64GB internal storage capacity, respectively while the starting variant carried 3GB RAM with 32GB onboard storage. It is still unclear whether all the three variants will be launched in India or not.

Honor 9 Lite Camera

As aforementioned the smartphone will be donning four cameras, two at the front and two at the back, so it is important to know about the combination. Interestingly, the combination of cameras both at the front and back is same – the primary camera of 13-megapixel and a secondary one of 2-megapixel while the LED flash and phase detection autofocus (PDAF) are available only for the rear dual cameras. In terms of connectivity, the handset includes GPS, dual-SIM slots, 4G, Bluetooth, LTE and Wi-Fi.

The smartphone runs Android 8.0 Oreo OS based EMUI 8.0 and carries a fingerprint sensor at the rear panel. The device is also supported by 3,000mAh battery powered with intelligent saving technique. The smartphone might get unravelled in India by the end of this month, but it is unknown whether it will be available in four color options as it was launched in China. The four color variants are Navy, Pearl White, Seagull Gray and Magic Nightfall. Only time will show how this phone is received in India.
