In order to curb the ever-increasing popularity of Reliance Jio, its Indian counterpart Idea Cellular has now upgraded its existing Rs 309 prepaid plan with 1.5GB data per day. The plan comes with an unlimited local, STD and free roaming calls and free SMS for a validity of 28 days. The plan was earlier launched with a daily data limit of 1GB per day.

However, there is a catch, the upgraded Rs 309 plan comes with unlimited outgoing calls with a limit of 250 minutes per day and a total limit of 1000 minutes per week. After the limit has been exhausted, users will have to pay one per second. SMS also come with a limit of 100 after which users will be charge Re 1 per SMS.

Idea

The Reliance Jio, on the other hand, is offering 1GB data on daily the basis for a validity of 49 days at a cost of Rs 309 along with unlimited local and national outgoing calls. Apart from this, users also get unlimited access to Jio’s suite of apps.

Airtel also offers a similar plan and provides 2GB of daily data at a cost of Rs 349 with added benefits of unlimited local and STD calls 100 free SMS daily. The pack also comes with a validity of 28 days.
