- New 6-inch OLED QHD+ Display
- Coming in India on 31st August
- Will be a class leading audio/video centric phone
The LG V series phones have always triggered a benchmark in a new experience for users in terms of the multimedia experience on their phones. The LG V10, for example, was the one to bring in a dual camera with a manual setting mode as well as a 32-bit Hi-FI DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter). Then there was the LG V20 which was the first to introduce 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC, Hi-Fi video recording as well as front and rear wide angle cameras. Now the LG V30 is getting introduced on 31st August this year and the first information to be leaked about the phone is that it would get a 6-inch OLED QHD+ display. According to the company, the new smartphone will further enhance the multimedia experience and the camera will be the first one to bring in a f/1.6 aperture.
The audio experience will also be on par with the video rendering that will adorn a new digital Hi-Fi digital filter with sound pre-set as well as MQA (Master Quality Authenticated). This would allow a user to high-quality audio in a relatively small size without the reduction in quality. In addition, the audio system is speculated to be tuned by Bang & Olufsen, a name associated with high-quality sound delivery in its various sound systems. What’s more? The LG V30 would also have a new Advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC. And that’s not the end of it!
The new LG V30 would not just be a benchmark in terms of audio but will have video capabilities above expectations. The 6-inch OLED QHD+ display would be Google’s Daydream VR ready and it is rated to support HDR-10.
LG Electronics Mobile Communications President Juno Cho said, “Expertise in OLED has long been a core competency of LG, and the technology has always been seen as a potential value-add for smartphones. With competition in the global smartphone space fiercer now than ever, we felt that this was the right time to reintroduce OLED displays in our mobile products.”
