The wait for much anticipated smartphone with an under display fingerprint sensor, the Vivo X20 Plus UD is finally over. The phone which was first showcased at CES 2018 was launched in China on Wednesday. The smartphone features an AMOLED display that hides a Synaptics made under display fingerprint sensor named clear ID 9500. The phone is priced at CNY 3598 (roughly Rs 36,100) and will go on sale from February 1. There is no information about the global launch of Vivo X20 Plus UD yet.

Vivo X20 Plus

The Vivo X20 Plus UD is a new variant of the Vivo X20 Plus which was launched back in September last year. The new variant comes with an under display fingerprint sensor designed by Synaptics which is capable of working even under 1.5mm thick layer. It can also work with a screen protection layer on.

The Vivo X20 Plus UD comes with a 6.43-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM. The offers 128GB internal storage that can further be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. The phone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box.

In terms of optics, the device sports a dual camera sensor on the rear thethat features a 12MP primary camera sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 and a 5MP camera sensor. On the front, there is a 12MP camera sensor that comes with an aperture of f/2.0.

The phone has already been listed on Vivo’s online shop in China and there is no information regarding its global launch yet.
