In an unprecedented manner, Xiaomi has proven itself a champ by shipping 9.2 Million Xiaomi Smartphones in the third quarter in 2017. The Chinese company has been considered as the fastest growing brand globally by the Counterpoint Research’s Market Monitor service. Recently, in a tweet of Manu Kumar Jain, the Vice President and Managing Director of Xiaomi India, this announcement was being made.

Earlier, even during the launching event of Redmi Y1, Manu Kumar Jain had highlighted these points. The company has claimed that it has sold 4 million devices in the Diwali month itself in the event. In order to stress the success of the company in Indian Market, the Vice President of Xiaomi India also shared a piece of trivia of Xiaomi smartphone shipments in India. Furthermore, he added that how the selling numbers have soared up from the “1 million mark in Q3 2015, 3 million in Q3 2016 and now for the first time – 9 million in Q3 2017”.

In addition to these announcements Jain also threw light on the Counterpoint Research, which declared Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Redmi 4, and Redmi 4A as the top three smartphones in the third quarter of 2017 in India. This point was made to make the motive of the company clear that it strives to provide the users with “high quality innovative products at affordable price”.

Interestingly, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has recently claimed that it has shipped 70 million units in the last 10 months of this year. Furthermore, the company also stressed that it has surpassed 10 million units consecutively for the second month of this year. Strikingly, according to the Counterpoint Research’s Market Monitor service, the company has made it to be the fastest growing smartphone brand across the globe.

The best part is that this strong sales is driven by the shipments of China and India. This shows how much Indian market is important for Xiaomi. Moreover, one can also see that the company has gained a lot of revenue this year by doubling its sales to 27.6 million units. Still, the company is placed at the fifth position globally and all its success could profusely be accredited to Indian market.
