HTC just launched the HTC U11 Plus and now it is again in the news for reportedly working on the successor of HTC U11, monikered as HTC U12. The phone has been spotted online and the leaked image shows some key features of the design. GizmoChina reports that 2018 flagship smartphone by HTC, HTC U12 will come with follow the industry trend and come with a wide bezel-less screen and also sport a dual rear camera setup.

The report further hints towards a 5.7-inch 4K display with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and a pixel density of 18:9 on the phone. HTC is also expected to introduce the dual camera setup on the HTC U12 after it was last seen on HTC One M8 which was launched in 2014. The phone is also expected come in all-glass body pointing towards wireless charging. Following the industry trend it is also expected to ditch the 3.5mm jack.

Similar to all the tipped high-end smartphones, the HTC U12 is rumoured to be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon processor. It will most probably be equipped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

In terms of optics, the HTC U12 sports a 12MP camera sensor on the rear with UltraPixel technology, 5-axis OIS, EIS and an aperture of f/1.7. The camera will be capable of recording 4K videos with 360-degree sound recording. The phone also comes with a 16MP front facing camera with 150-degree wide-angle-lens.

The HTC U12 will run on Android 8.1 Oreo atop HTC Sense 9 out-of-the-box. It will be powered by a 3000mAh battery and will come with IP57 certified dust and water resistance.
