Reliance Jio has planned the reduction in the prices of its 1 GB daily data packs by up to Rs. 60. This comes as company’s part of their New Year 2018 offers. With the effect of this offer, the base price of all Jio plans is expected to be reduced. This means that the current Rs. 199 pack will now cost Rs. 149 for 1 GB data per day. It is interesting to note that this offer will cancel out the previous tariff revisions made by the telecom operator in October last year.

This is not all. Reliance Jio has plans to launch new data packs with the daily limit of 1.5 GB. These changes might come to effect from the 9th of January, 2018. From this Tuesday, the revised rates of the Rs. 199, Rs. 399, Rs. 459 and the Rs. 499 packs will be quoted at Rs. 149, Rs. 349, Rs. 399 and Rs. 449 respectively. All other details of the plans like the SMS benefits, data allocation and calling, will remain the same as of the previous plans. Users would also enjoy the access to the free apps just like you did before.

It is speculated that the new plans of ‘1.5 GB daily data’ pack will be priced at Rs. 198, Rs. 398, Rs. 448 and Rs. 498 as per the validity. These are the presumed prices of the 1.5 GB data packs. If you notice, by this plan, the consumers would get around 50 % more data at approximately the same price.

However, it’s not yet clear till when the offer is valid. This new offer will come into effect before the ongoing promotion of Jio with the vouchers and cash back up to INR 3300 ends. Jio is one of the leading telephone operators in the country with more than 150 million satisfied users. It brought a revolution in the telecom industry with introducing consumer-friendly plans. Facing tough competition, other operators have also started bringing down the tariff of their plans.
