The Chinese smartphone maker, Lenovo launched its K8 Note smartphone in India and had made it available via flash sale on Amazon. But the company recently announced to make the K8 Note available to buy through an open sale that starts on September 15. In India, the phone comes with a price tag of Rs. 12,999.

As part of this open sale, Lenovo K8 Note buyers are eligible to get additional Rs. 1,000 off if they bring an old smartphone to exchange. Also, HSBC credit and debit card holders are to receive a cashback of Rs. 1,000. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 12,999 for the 3GB RAM+32GB storage variant and Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB RAM+64GB storage variant.

Lenovo K8 Note

The Lenovo K8 has many features and a killer design. Lenovo’s metal-clad device sports a 5.5-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass coating. The phone comes powered by a first of its kind deca (10)-core MediaTek Helio X20 (MT6797) processor and the processor is complimented by Mali T880 GPU with 3GB/4GB RAM options.

The K8 Note is the company’s first to come with stock Android UI instead of the Vibe UI. Lenovo plans to ship all its further smartphones with stock Android UI only. The device runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

This is Lenovo’s first handset that has come with a dual camera setup. The main 13MP camera alongside the 5MP secondary camera will detect the depth of the image to create a ‘bokeh’ portrait effect. Few camera modes in Lenovo K8 Note include Panorama, HDR and a Professional mode. The smartphone’s 13MP front-facing camera comes with a dedicated LED flash. A Pro mode for the front-facing camera is also included in the phone.

Coming to the storage front, Lenovo K8 Note is available in 32GB and 64GB inbuilt storage options that can further be expanded up to 128GB using a micro SD card. The smartphone has three slots. Two are for dual SIM support, while the third is for the micro SD card.

There is a new ‘Music Key’ that is placed on the left side below the slot for the SIM card and the microSD card. You long press it, press it twice or press it thrice to control the music playback. ‘TheatreMax’ support is also available for multimedia users in the K8 Note. The phone is backed by a 4000mAh battery that also supports Turbo Charge fast charging technology.
