Xiaomi launched the Redmi 5A Rose Gold colour variant in India, just two months after the release of Redmi 5A Dark Grey and Gold colour variants. In November 2017, when these two colour options were launched in the country, it came with a starting price tag of Rs. 5,999. The phone went on sale today at 12pm on Flipkart and Mi.com.

Redmi 5A Rose Gold Variant Specifications

Although, the new variant has no unique feature in comparison to the original Redmi 5A, just that it has now embraced Rose Gold colour. Nevertheless, the original version itself is quite good with respect to its range. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, the device runs on Android Nougat-based MIUI 9 and comes with dual-SIM (Nano). Packed with 3000mAh battery, Xiaomi Redmi 5A sports a 5-inch HD display with a screen resolution of 720×1280 pixels.

On the photography end, the smartphone is accompanied with a 13-megapixel camera sensor at the back of the handset with LED flash, PDAF, and aperture of f/2.2. The selfie camera is of 5-megapixel and has an aperture lens of f/2.0. As far as connectivity is concerned, it includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, a 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS/ A-GPS, Infrared, Bluetooth v.4.1, and Micro-USB.

Redmi 5A Rose Gold Variant Pricing

The handset is available in two variants – 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM. On one hand, the 2GB of RAM variant is priced at Rs. 4,999, while on the other hand, the device with 3GB of RAM carries a price tag of Rs. 6,999 on Flipkart. Interestingly, both are expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The Xiaomi Redmi 5A Rose Gold smartphone will be made available through offline channels via Mi Home stores as well as Big Bazaar. One can say that this is a prudent step from Xiaomi to roll out Rose Gold color option before Valentine’s day.
