A billboard at Boston, US featuring “ask more of your phone” caption line and Google logo with date October 4, has left everybody pleasantly stunned. Till now, numerous gadget portals have been tipping off with the speculated launch date of Google Pixel 2 as October 5. However, this ‘billboard report’ seems more authentic compared to the earlier ones. There are also chances of Google Pixel XL 2 launching on the same date.

The Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 are codenamed as Walleye and Taimen. Both the smartphone devices will offer high-end user experience and specifications. The image of the billboard carrying this essential info was sent to Droid-Life, a famous gadget portal. To recall, interestingly, when the Google unveiled its first Pixel at an event in San Francisco the calendar read the same date of October 4. The caption line “ask more of your phone” is reported to hint at Google Assistant doing more work for users on the phones than earlier.

Besides, Google Pixel 2 launch another news buzzing on Droid Life states that a bigger Pixel version namely Pixel XL 2 is ongoing with the certification process at the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The documents specify model number alongside also ascertains the fact that the phablet will be developed by LG. Some reports earlier suggested that it will be made by HTC. Just to mention, original Pixel and Pixel XL were manufactured by HTC. However, that is not the case with the V 2.0 of the Pixels.

Rumoured to launch with Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 processor, which the XDA Developers disproved as it has not been developed yet, the Google Pixel 2 and the Pixel XL 2 smartphones will now boast Snapdragon 835 processor with an increased clock speed. Remember, the Snapdragon 835 processor is the same one that powers the likes of Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Samsung Galaxy S8, Samsung Galaxy S8+, LG V30, HTC U11 and OnePlus 5 and other top notch models.
