The wait is finally over as the OnePlus has started rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo update for its flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 5T with its latest OxygenOS 5.0.2 update. The company has been testing a beta version of the update since January and has now officially rolled out the update.
However, the company has said that the update has been rolled out for a small percentage of OnePlus 5T users today while it will be made available for other users in coming days. The company gave the information via a blog on their official forum.
According to the blog, the OxygenOS 5.0.2 brings Android Oreo to the OnePlus 5T smartphone. New design for Quick Settings, general bug fixes and improvements, CPU security patch CVE-2017-13218. Other updates include Launched app v2.2, File Manager to v1.7.6, Gallery to v2.0 and Weather to v1.9.
You can check for the OTA update in Settings>About Phone>System Updates. It is recommended to backup your data before going through the installation process. The company has also invited feedback on the update.

The OnePlus 5T is the first bezel-less smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer. It comes with a 6.01-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The dual camera setup on the rear features a 16MP and a 20MP camera sensors. There is a 16MP selfie camera as well.The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC that is aided by 6GB and 8GB of RAM in two different variants. OnePlus 5T comes in two internal storage variant – 64GB and 128GB.
